| NYPD Officer Russel Timoshenko died after injuries sustained during a routine traffic stop. Officer Timoshenko and his partner, Officer Herman Yan, were ambushed by career criminal armed robbers in a stolen vehicle with illegal weapons. His partner survived the attack, but after several days, Officer Timoshenko never recovered from wounds received. A truly devastating loss as he was truly a very nice and well loved person whose life was taken by persons without hearts. Officer Timoshenko was posthumously promoted to Detective, as well as his surviving partner, Detective Yan. Prayers will always be continually with Detective Timoshenko, his family and loved ones and may we all watch over Detective Yan for his safety. (16 Jul 2007)
